X-Yachts introduce the all-new Xp 44 performance cruiser-racer.

X-Yachts Design Group has unveiled plans for their most innovative performance cruiser design yet: the Xp 44.

The Xp 44 represents the latest development in X-Yachts’ world-beating performance cruiser range: the Xperformance line.
The philosophy behind the Xp 44 was to offer a significant step forward in the production cruiser-racer market, combining contemporary developments in performance yacht design with X-Yachts’ signature high-quality engineering.

The new Xp 44 will have significantly higher stability.

A total of more than 40 new features - above and below deck - have been utilized to achieve a total weight saving of approx 2,200 kg compared to the "old" model, the trendsetting X-43, which Xp 44 mainly replaces.

Xp 44 will be very competitive under both IRC and ORC. Building on the unrivalled reputation of X-Yachts, the Xp 44 features a new carbon/composite keel grillage, providing an even greater ratio of strength and stiffness to weight. Further weight reduction together with increased rigidity is made possible through use of the latest epoxy E-Glass vacuum infusion processes.

The Xc 38, like the larger Xc models features an aft cockpit design with eye catching classically styled bow and stern lines that maximise deck space.

The hull lines are deeper than on our Xperformance models and have a V-section forward of the keel, for a comfortable motion and easy passage making.

The larger hull volume over traditional X-Yachts designs allows space for more powerful engines, larger tanks and greater battery capacity, enabling the Xc 38 to make extended cruising in comfort a reality.

Despite blue water cruising credentials, the Xc 38 will still provide the response and thrill of sailing that X-Yachts sailors admire.

The X-Yachts Gold Cup 2010 will be held in one of the most beautiful Italian regions, Tuscany.
Just in front of Elba Island, surrounded by nature, history, good wine and food with the typical Italian hospitality, this Cup will represent one of the biggest "One-brand event" in the Mediterranean sailing history.

From 1 - 7 August, the 29th Copa Del Rey was launched on Mallorca.

X-Yacht was represented with X-35 and X-41 - and the Cup was held with great success.

X-41 World Championship had a nice start with steady wind and not too much sea. After the first day it was double Estonia in the lead, with the Finish boat Nicole 4 at third. The best Norwegian boat NOR 9 Lexington was at 4th place.

The weather forecast for Friday looked good. Sunny with moderate breeze, 6 m/s steady wind from south-southwest. Typical wind for good sailing conditions at the coast of Arendal. So there was probably more fun to come.

A broad variety of X-Yachts was represented on the Scandinavian Cup in Båstad, Sweden from 28 - 31 July.

The event took place in Båstad, a lovely former fishing village in Southern Sweden, world famous for its 2 weeks Tennis Tournament, and from now on also very well known as a perfect place for Yacht Racing!
